Daniel was born and raised in the Bay Area and quickly took an interest in music during his youth. He eventually started playing guitar in (loud!) rock bands and spent several years touring around the country and Europe. Daniel has always had an interest in helping others and this eventually led him to pursuing a career in social services. He has now been at Dorthy Day House for 4+ years, starting as a seasonal employee before taking on more responsibility as the Berkeley Emergency Storm Shelter (BESS) manager. Daniel has been recognized by Berkeley Mental Health for his work and advocacy in the community! He will be playing electric guitar with Chicago at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts during our September 14th event!
